Create a vintage lettering logo
For a bar, a mug or a t-shirt! With this technique you'll learn how to make amazing lettering in Adobe Illustrator, ready to use anywhere you want!
About this course
In this course we’re going to learn how to draw a calligraphic logo. We’ll start by sketching on paper, then digitalize it in Adobe Illustrator and finally add texture in Adobe Photoshop.
Besides logos, you’ll also learn how to digitalize letterings to use them on any medium, like t-shirts, mugs, stickers…
What project are we going to develop?
In this course you’re actually going to develop your own project. For your logo you should have a fictional or a real client in mind and I’ll show you the steps to follow.
We’ll first make a couple of versions of our logo. Then we’ll explore the Pen tool in Adobe Illustrator: anchor points, handles… You’ll also develop your letter drawing skills.
To finish up, I’ll show you how to add texture and a vintage effect in Adobe Photoshop, with the use of brushes or different techniques.
You’ll just need paper, a pencil, an eraser, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, a scanner or a smartphone.
Who’s this course for?
This course is meant primarily for designers that have an interest in hand lettering but have never dared to try, so let go of your fears and enroll!
