On this course we'll explain the fundamentals of low poly and its application to 3D modeling. You'll learn the ins and outs of creating a complete scene with this technique.
What project are we going to develop?
We're going to develop a scene composed of a floating island, mountains, water, trees and some other details. We'll model these objects, apply the basic materials and finish off the scene with an appropriate lighting. Finally, we'll export it and add the final touches in Photoshop.
Who's this course for?
This beginner level course is for design enthusiasts who want to experiment new techniques. It's also suitable for digital art students interested in 3D.
Didac Soto is a 3D and multimedia designer based in Barcelona, where he studied illustration, animation and graphic design. He then went on to study a masters in 3D animation at the University of Salamanca. Specialized in 3D modeling and with 5 years experience in the industry, he has worked for various marketing and advertising agencies in Barcelona. As a freelance designer, he has worked and collaborated with clients all over the world, creating 3D models for indie video games in Mexico, the United States or the UK.
