Animation: 3D Effect on Vector File

Animation: 3D Effect on Vector File

If you've already learnt how to give life to your vectors and wanna go the extra mile, get immersed in this course where your vectors won't only become alive, but will also get volume. Ready to enhance your creations?

About this course

So you love a nice flat vector huh? And you also love when they are animated? Well we can show you how to animate it for sure, but what if we told you that you can also make this animation look 3D? Awesome, right? Oh but wait… what if we told you that we can get this done without using any 3D software? *Mindblowing*

In this course we will take a cool vector file and bring it to After Effects. We will show you how to properly set up your Illustrator file, divide it to layers and import this on AE as a composition. Then, we are going to play with 3D layers and positioning as well as camera moves to take this vector file to a whole new level.

The idea is to play around with the rotation and perspectives so that we can create a “fake” 3D effect using flat vectors by giving depth to this composition.

This camera game, along with nice animation tricks and tips, will end up in a super cool animation that will have a lot of depth to it.

What project are we going to delevop?

We are going to create a 2D animation of a guy’s face and make it look a bit 3D by using cameras, rotations and playing around with the position of the layers to give some depth to the animation.

We will also learn a few tricks to improve the animation and the 3D effect that we want to accomplish.

Who is this course for?

This course is for everyone as the explanation is very thorough, however, having at least a basic knowledge on the software (menus, interface, basic animations) will make this course much easier.
