Animation: Create a flat style scene

Animation: Create a flat style scene

Recreate a scene from your favorite movie or TV show with this course by Carlos Behrens where you'll also improve and develop your skills as a 2D animator and immerse yourself in the world of character rigging using a free plug-in called Duik.

About this course

It’s always fun to watch animations, but it's even more fun to create them yourself. On this course, we'll show you how to create a flat vector animation in simple steps. First, we'll create flat vector characters without much trouble in Adobe Illustrator and how to prepare the files for After Effects. Then we'll jump right into After Effects and we'll learn how to rig a character, which is a very important part of animation. Finally, we'll create the flat vector animation using everything we learned.

What project are we going to develop?

On this course, you'll learn everything you need to know to make flat style 2D character animations, a great way to expand your portfolio! To do this, Carlos will help you recreate a scene inspired by the famous TV show Breaking Bad, animating the scenes frame by frame and teaching you about basic rigging using the After Effects Duik plug-in.

You will learn

  • illustration of the flat style characters
  • Animation process frame by frame
  • Character rigging
  • Development of a final animation

Who is this course for?

This course is for intermediate and advanced After Effects users. It's important that you know the basics of After Effects to understand the techniques we are going to use. To take this course, you will also need to use Duik, an After Effects plug-in used in 2D animation, and that will certainly make your task as an animator much easier.
