About this course
Learn all about Character fundamentals and understanding shape language in Adobe Photoshop. Different shapes communicate different emotions. Rounded shapes tend to be safe, square shapes are strong and sturdy and angular shapes tend to feel more sinister.
We will also explore the process of creating silhouettes for our characters, which are inspired by the Snow White universe. Using the knowledge of shape languages, we will explore the process of designing characters like the Evil Queen, the Huntsman and one of the dwarves.
We will create a simple character line up that will show you the basics of how to do this. We should be capable of recognizing one design from the next easily. We will also explore the process of pushing our designs and adding anatomy within the silhouette in the method of values and form.
