Create a virtual reality scene

"Do you believe in users?" Join Dídac on this course to recreate a virtual reality scene in pure Tron style!

About this course

On this course we'll learn how to create an animated sci-fi scene with a virtual reality vibe to it. The scene is somewhat abstract but it's intended to emulate an animation based on the special effects of the film TRON*. It's also a great exercise to practice using the various effects offered to us by Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects.

Tron is a 1982 American film, science fiction, written and directed by Steven Lisberger. Starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Cindy Morgan, Dan Shor and David Warner. It was one of the first films produced by major film studios to use graphic computing technique in an important way. She was awarded the Saturn Award in 1983 for Best Costumes (Eloise Jensson and Rosanna Norton). She was also nominated for 8 more awards.

What project are we going to develop?

We'll prepare a virtual stage, where you'll see polygonal mountains moving, mesh effects on the surface or animated textures thanks to the effect of the shaders. We'll also associate a camera to a spline. Then we'll render our image sequence and finally, in After effects, we'll work on the video's postproduction.

Who's this course for?

This Cinema 4D course is for users with an intermediate understanding of the software. There are basic tools and functions used that won't be explained in detail.
