Illustration: Create Textured Vector Images

Illustration: Create Textured Vector Images

Add textures to your vector images and create amazing effects!

About this course

We will be exploring vector textures. We are going to work with textures completely inside Adobe Illustrator. First of all, we are going to create a simple illustration, and then, by learning and using different kinds of textures, we are going to render the illustration.

It will be very easy, very fun, and the best part is that the result will be 100% vector, which means it’s completely scalable.

We will be taking decisions, researching and defining the style of the illustration first. Then, I’m going to show you how I vectorize the sketch by using the Pen Tool. Finally, I’m going to explain how vector textures work and we’ll apply that knowledge to the illustration.

What project are we going to develop?

We are going to create a retro, mid-century inspired illustration of a hipster couple taking a selfie. The illustration will, of course, make use of different vector textures.

Who’s this course for? Requirements
