About this course

Designing characters is a fun way to express your creativity and learn vector illustration. We can create a set of five 2D characters in illustrator based on a simple idea of a modern family. This course will show you how to create your own characters using inspiration and building a finished family of characters using basic shapes and tools.

What project we are going to develop?

In this course we are working on a modern family of 5 characters, with adults and kids. We are building the characters in a vector format and using color, form, and shading to create realistic looking characters. Learn how to use the shape tools, coloring tips, and shading to make the designs stand out.

Who’s this course for? Requirements

We are going to show you how to use Adobe Illustrator, with basic knowledge required. We are using Creative cloud (CC) so if you have a previous version it may look a little different but the basic tools are still the same, so you should not have any problems.
