About this course
On this course, we'll show you the step by step process for designing creatures inspired by the popular book and movie: "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" by J.K. Rowling. Using creature descriptions taken directly from the book itself, I'll be sketching the characters from concept to finished color, and show you my various techniques for doing this. I'll also show you how to take inspiration from real-world animals to use in my concept sketches and how you can apply the same to your own projects.
What project are we going to develop?
In this course, I'll focus on character design, in my own style which is light and kid-friendly. You can use these concepts to present in your own personal portfolio, or even to create your very own Fantastic Beasts manuscript! This process will also teach you how to create visuals using your own imagination, without the aid of anything else. Learn how to design from scratch, a valuable skill that will help you through your concept art and illustrator career.
