About this course

On this course, we'll study animal anatomy so that we can apply it to a cartoon style illustration. We'll study the basic rules of composition and visual weights and finally, how to use perspective to create depth for the elements in the scene. 

What project are we going to develop?

We're going to design a Christmas themed illustration using some penguins and a polar bear. I'll then show you how to draw some presents using perspective and also to create some depth in the scene. 

You'll learn:

  • How to search for references
  • Animal anatomy to use in a cartoon style 
  • Basic rules of composition and visual weights 
  • Perspective
  • How to design a Christmas themed illustration 

Who's this course for?

This course is for students or art enthusiasts with a basic level of Adobe Photoshop, who want to design a Christmas illustration using the basic tools and brushes the program offers. You could also take this course if you want to use traditional techniques like paper, pencil or paint. 

Requirements:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Wacom Cintiq or any graphics tablet
  • Pressure sensitivity
