About this course

Learn the basic techniques of how to digitally paint faces

in Adobe Photoshop. This process is an essential illustration technique for painting portraits on any kind of medium ranging from fantasy illustration, to realistic video game and film art.

What project are we going to develop?

On this course you’ll learn how to illustrate a portrait of a woman in a ¾ pose, with a loose and painterly look in Adobe Photoshop. Discover the techniques of painting basic facial features in Photoshop; using big, loose strokes with the brush tool as well as the dual brush tool, painting with shape dynamics and an angled brush, the color picker tool, and the layering process for portrait painting.
