Learn to create a monoline drawing

Learn to create a monoline drawing

For a postcard, a poster or whatever you like! Monoline style is simple and elegant, learn how to create your own drawings using the tips Jeremy gives us!

About this course

It can look tricky to complete a monoline design and may look complex, but I’m here to show you how to easily create this effect. Using simple tools, basic design principles and shapes, you can create an artwork that stands out. You can give the illusion of many layers and highly detailed grids with a monoline look using only the Pen tool.

What project are we going to develop?

In this course we are going to develop a safari themed monoline artwork. We're going to do this in Illustrator using simple tools like the Pen tool and blend tools to make patterns and use lines effectively. We'll show you the process from vectorizing a sketch to the completed artwork, even coloring it to suit your needs. The steps we take are simple and we're sure that you'll really enjoy following along!

Who’s this course for? Requirements

This course is for intermediate designers so if you’re new to Illustrator, try watching videos on using basic tools before hand.  We're using Creative cloud (CC) for this course, so if you have a previous version it may look a little different but the basic tools are still the same, so you shouldn't have any problems.
