About this course
Ever wondered how you can create realistic drawings in Illustrator without having amazing drawing skills? I'll show you how to use the Blob brush in Adobe Illustrator. With this tool you'll be able to create the portrait of an animal or a person, using a photo as a reference.
The course will be divided into several lessons that will show you how to configure the tool to get the best results as well as some techniques to illustrate and paint any portrait you want to create.
What project are we going to develop?
On this course we'll build the portrait of an elephant using Adobe Illustrator's Blob Brush. This will help you set up the tool and create as many portraits and illustrations as you need.
To make the most of this course after every lesson you are free to try each tool and technique and apply it to different concepts. This way, you'll fully understand the brush and get used to working with it in a huge variety of projects.
Who’s this course for? Requirements
For this course you don't need any special skills or even to have used the software before, all the tools are going to be explained assuming you have little knowledge of the software. However if you are a more skilled user you'll learn some techniques, tips and tools that will help you expand your current knowledge.
We're going to be using Illustrator CC but if you use a previous version there shouldn't be any problems, while the layout and options may change a little, the changes are minimal.
We're also going to use a Wacom tablet to enhance the Blob Brush but if you don't own a tablet I'll teach you a way around this to achieve a similar effect.
