"It's the final countdown" dududuuuhduuuuh dududududuuuuh dudududuuuuuh... You got that song stuck in your head already? Sure you have! Get the most of that song stuck in your brain and get on with this course where you're going to be learning how to create an animated countdown! You in??

About this course

Morphing from one shape to another one on After Effects can be a little tricky. It give you some very weird looking edges, or wrong overlappings and it look seriously bad in your animation. In this course, I will teach you how to create a smooth morphing effect, playing around with the vertexes and the positions to cover up some of these errors. And while we're at it we're going to learn a bunch of other stuff, like creating a countdown, for example! And also, working with the very trendy trim paths that always give that nice touch to any animation.

What project are we going to delevop?

We are going to animate a countdown using morphing shapes on After Effects. The Morphing shapes tool has a trick to it as we need to manually tweak with the settings and the vertexes because, otherwise, this morphing is going to look really bad, and we will have some bad overlapping effects. When we finish the shape morphing, we will create some duplicates with different colors to create a nice shadow effect. And finally, you will learn how to animate basic shapes using the trim paths effect.

Who is this course for?

Anybody with basic knowledge on After Effects would be ideal for this course, however I try to explain anything that I do while we are on the main subject, so it would be open for all levels!
