replied to a comment in the topic Why do you use shapes tool to build the color base? in the Course Illustration: Create an illustration for a children's book

The masks are automatically made when you raster the shape, if you mean the first option I gave where you create a new layer and then mask it down all you have to do is go between the layers and press "alt". Pleas let me know if this is what you meant or if you had any other question

Hello.

You are correct, you could do this with the brush tool without a problem and maybe save some time. The reason why I recommend to use shapes is because not all the people own a graphic tablet and so making sharp shapes with a mouse would be a challenge, also even if you own a graphic table if you are new, your strokes won't look as clean as if you used shapes to create your base.  I hope this makes sense, if you have any other comments or question, please let me know.

Hello.

I am glad you like it. I believe you may be using the latest version of Photoshop CC 2018, they seem to have removed these tool presets.

Luckily you can do the same but use another brush you can download this brush that I created, which is similar to what I used or I would recommend if you are a creative cloud subscriber that you go here and download the spatter brushes, they are great and you can get the same effect.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or comments.

Make sure that you are not still on the pan behind tool, on the top you can see which tool you have selected, maybe you are moving it accidentally. Let me know if it is not this so I can help.

That's not normal to trim the work area just go to that keyframe on the time line and press N, the panel should stay the same.

Make sure that the animation is a loop and that you have on trim paths at the end 100% on both end and start

On the gradient window make sure that you click on the top right icon (it looks like four lines) and click show options.

The Align options can be found on Window > Align

On the Character window make sure you click on the little icon on the top right, right below the x and find "show options"

I think you mean the Render Queue. If that is the case all you have to do is Ctrl + M on a PC or Command + M on a Mac or you could also go File > Export > Add to Render Queue

Are you working on Full Resolution on After Effects? On the window where you are looking at your comp at the bottom there are 3 color circles nest to them there is a list, there make sure that Full or Auto is selected. Otherwise please let me know more about the issue and I'll be happy to help you find a solution.

Hello.

Yes, as the course name states this is all about the design of the UI. To implement it you would need to work on the coding, but that would be another course by itself.

In my experience it is very important that you can easily preview what you envision of your UI.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you like my work
